Chillicothe police determined that a reported missing person investigation involving an adult and a child concluded without evidence of criminal activity after officers found both individuals were safely staying at a shelter. Officers interviewed the reporting parties, gathered information, and continued the investigation. The investigation determined the adult and child had not been reported missing under circumstances that required law enforcement intervention. Instead, officers learned they had been staying at a shelter because of an alleged fear of other members of the household. Police informed the reporting parties of the findings.
