First-year coach Mike McCarthy and his assistants have certainly brought some new practice techniques to Pittsburgh Steelers training camp this summer.
The team is practicing faster, with less time between snaps and workout periods, but the changes also include lots of new training tools.
• In a 2-minute drill, Aaron Rodgers led the offense 65 yards and connected with Metcalf on an 11-yard touchdown pass late in practice.
Cornerback Jamel Dean had a key pass defense on the drive, breaking up a second-down pass intended for Metcalf.
But the 34-year-old, who re-signed with the Steelers in March, showed Thursday that he still has some power in his right leg.
