(Paradise, Hagen, and Horse Ridge Fire Information/Contributed Photo)PENDLETON — Personnel defending Umatilla County from the Hagen, Paradise and Horse Ridge fires are reinforcing firelines to prepare for low humidity and windy conditions over the weekend. According to the update Thursday, July 30, from public information officials, 1,058 fire personnel are working out of Walla Walla, Athena and Elgin to fight the three fires. The fire is entirely within the municipal watershed of Walla Walla, requiring extra care from personnel. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office updated emergency evacuation levels for the fire Wednesday. Evacuation levels have been elevated in Umatilla County, Union County and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, according to public information officials.
