Tencent-owned Lightspeed LA is laying off staff

Update (08/04): A WARN notice, obtained by This Week in Videogames, has confirmed that Lightspeed has laid off 68 employees from its LA office, including some senior staffers.
Original story: Lightspeed LA, the US-based subsidiary of Tencent-owned Lightspeed Studios, and the developer behind Last Sentinel, is laying off staff.
In a follow up statement to IGN, the developer said it will "share updates when ready" in regards to Last Sentinel.
In March of this year, Lightspeed unveiled a proprietary IP development framework for building triple-A titles at scale.
In February, Sumo Digital, another Tencent-owned company, laid off an unknown number of employees.
