Black Bear has premiered the US and UK trailers for the upcoming romantic fantasy feature “Wicker” opening in limited release on October 23rd. The story is described as an audacious comedic fable about sex, marriage, and the absurdities of social convention. It tells the wholly original love story of an ostracized fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) who commissions a husband to be made by the local basketmaker (Peter Dinklage). Topic Studios and Tango Entertainment finance and produce the film with Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson directing from a screenplay they adapted from the short story “The Wicker Husband” by Ursula Wills-Jones. Colman, Ed Sinclair, Tom Carver, David Michôd, Brad Zimmerman, Justin Lothrop and Brent Stiefel produce.
