Peacock’s loss is a gain for Paramount+ with the streamer picking up the planned sequel series to 1995 cult classic “Clueless”. Announced last year, Alicia Silverstone is attached to reprise her iconic role as Cher Horowitz in the series which CBS Studios and Universal Television originally set up to produce for Peacock. Then it was ditched by the streamer and taken back out to market where Paramount+ has picked it up. She gives klutzy new student Tai (Brittany Murphy) a makeover, Tai becomes more popular than she is in the process. What is known is that Silverstone is set to executive produce alongside Robert Lawrence and original film director Amy Heckerling.
