The benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) lost 0.7 per cent or 39.61 points to finish at 5,673.58. Within the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index, Sheng Siong Group was the top gainer, rising 2.5 per cent or S$0.08 to S$3.34. Across the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 328 to 272, after 1.2 billion securities worth S$2.3 billion changed hands.
