SINGAPORE: A Singaporean intern says he was “snubbed” at work for not using artificial intelligence, prompting him to question whether AI has become an unwritten expectation in today’s workplace. Believing he was making good progress, he carried on with the work using his own methods. According to the intern, the manager looked at his screen and said: “The way you do, next month also cannot finish. Caught off guard by the interaction, the intern asked fellow users: “Can someone tell me, is this how things work?” We recognise that we have a duty of care to ensure that we produce quality work and to take pride in it.
