Nonie Mae Montgomery, formerly Lonie Mae Chandler, age 81, of Douglas, was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, July 17, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia, following an extended illness. The family will receive friends during a wake on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McIver’s Funeral home in Douglas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Douglas. Immediately following the interment, the family will receive relatives and friends for a repast at the Shiloh Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The family respectfully requests that all flowers and cards be sent to McIver’s Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.
