Jim was born on December 3, 1936 in Douglas, Georgia to Ollis Hinson Young and Jack Young. After this marriage ended, he married Linda Garrett in 1988, and became step-father to Stephen Price and Danny Price. Jim is survived by his wife Linda, Jay Young (LeeAnn), Shelley Levy (Dave), Stephen Price (Jan) and Danny Price (Tammi), 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on July 18, 2026 at Madison Methodist Church, Madison, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Madison Methodist Church, 1091 Confederate Road, Madison, Georgia, 30650.
