By Andrea Bruner, White River NowCustomer service, credit card fees, and police evidence storage were a few of the topics at the regular Batesville City Council meeting Tuesday night. The council asked about the Cushman water system, which buys all of its water from Batesville, but due to the state of its infrastructure, Cushman has lost massive amounts of water. Crain said he keeps a tally and sends it monthly to Batesville city officials. Justice said the Water Construction department is responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair, and emergency response for the city’s water distribution system and the wastewater collection system.
