Woman, 23, charged with murder in downtown Winnipeg stabbing

Winnipeg police say a 23-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of a 58-year-old woman downtown Tuesday.
The Winnipeg Police Service says it happened on Portage Avenue around 2:45 p.m.
The victim, identified as 58-year-old Helen Spence, was found by police with life-threatening injuries.
A suspect, who fled the area before police arrived, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday.
Shante Paul has been charged and remains in custody.
