This summer’s storms have already done millions of dollars in damages – and that’s without including the three storms from the past week. The cost of Edmonton’s summer storms is estimated at $20-$30 million, according to the City of Edmonton’s city manager. But Eddie Robar says that doesn’t even include the last three storms: from Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. The city is in the process of assessing the impacts from this month’s storms; additional HARP applications will be submitted by the end of August. More storms are forecast for the coming weeks in what has become the wettest summer on record for Edmonton.
