David “Dave” Woodson Cook, age 85, of Clarksville, TN formerly of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at St. Thomas West Hospital of natural causes. Dave was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on October 31, 1940, the son of the late Winfred Woodson Cook and Mary Katherine Colley Cook. He was a member of the Hopkinsville Asphalt Angels, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Joiner Cook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
