Kim Reynolds has appointed Melissa Larson, a Greenfield attorney, to serve as a district associate judge in Iowa’s Judicial District 5A. Larson currently serves as the Adair County attorney. She earned her undergraduate degree from Grand View University prior to earning her law degree from Drake University. As a district associate judge, Larson will serve Judicial District 5A, which includes Guthrie County. Larson is filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Virginia Cobb, who has served in a judicial capacity since 1995, when she became a magistrate in Dallas County.
