Bhubaneswar The Odisha Legislative Assembly has directed the Home Department to submit a detailed factual report within 15 days on a breach of privilege notice filed by Narla MLA Manorama Mohanty against Kesinga SDPO and his team. Assembly Secretary Satyabrata Rout has written an urgent letter to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, conveying Speaker Surama Padhy’s directive following a review of the complaint. The police team reportedly sought to arrest her husband, Durga Prasad Mohanty, the Chairperson of Narla Panchayat Samiti in Kalahandi district. The legislator emphasised that MLA quarters are under the administrative control of the Odisha Legislative Assembly Secretariat. The Home Department will now examine all aspects of the case and submit a detailed report to the Assembly Secretariat.
