New Delhi: In a big decision, the Delhi government announced on Thursday it will not pursue any further adverse legal action against those involved in protests over NEET-UG paper leak. However, there is a caveat — the relief will not be extended to people with criminal antecedents. This is issued with the approval of Hon’ble Lt Governor of NCT of Delhi,” the Home Department said in a release. The cases were filed against protesters found to be involved in the violence that broke out during CJP’s march to Parliament on July 20. Of them, nearly a thousand people were found to have criminal records, HT reported citing Delhi Police officials.
