Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended a junior clerk-cum-record keeper and a driver of Brahmagiri Tehsil of Puri district for allegedly taking Rs 20,000 bribe for a plot demarcation work.
The accused have been identified as junior clerk & record keeper Narendra Kumar Sahoo, and driver Jitendra Kumar Sahoo.
Even after taking Rs 8,000, record keeper Sahoo was not initiating the process.
Following the complaint, a team of Vigilance nabbed Narendra Kumar Sahoo, and Jitendra Kumar Sahoo, while taking Rs 20,000 from the complainant in the former’s office room.
Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations linked to Narendra Kumar Sahoo from Disproportionate Assets angle.
