The heightened demand has come from local and state net-zero goals that have already begun to take effect, and owners are looking at ways to electrify before deadlines to avoid noncompliance fees. Massachusetts is also targeting net-zero greenhouse gas emissions statewide by 2050. The state is aiming for a 50% reduction from 1990 greenhouse gas emissions levels by 2030.
