In part, that’s because the observation deck participates in sightseeing passes, which bundle discounted admissions to multiple attractions and are particularly popular among international travelers on a budget. Historically, ESRT’s business has relied heavily on its observation deck, something the company has tried to change in recent years. As of the second quarter, that percentage is down to 20%.
