T-bar necklaces have long been a hero jewellery-box item, rendered in many sizes, proportions and finishes. Lucy Williams reimagined them in mixed metals for her most recent collaboration with Missoma, a brand she’s worked with for over a decade, following the overwhelming demand for her collection drop last year. “It’s always felt like such a timeless shape and symbol,” she tells Vogue of how the T-bar motif reminds her of childhood. Courtesy of MissomaWilliams added a subtle knot to her T-bar design, an aspect that she reveals took “so long to perfect”. By introducing the sculptural knot, we softened the clean geometry of the T-bar and gave it a modern twist that’s instantly recognisable.
