Dr. Mohammed Ahmad Jamoos, Director of the General Services and Facilities Department at Al-Quds University and a Palestinian researcher, has successfully defended his PhD thesis in Computer Science and Telecommunications at the University of Granada, Spain.
Dr. Jamoos earned the distinction of “Sobresaliente” (Outstanding), the highest academic grade awarded in Spanish universities.
Leveraging his expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning, he developed an advanced Intrusion Detection System (IDS) model designed to improve detection accuracy and overall system performance, particularly in addressing the complexity and diversity of cyberattacks.
Dr. Jamoos stated:“I dedicate this achievement to my homeland, Palestine, and to everyone who supported me along my scientific journey.
The system was tested under realistic scenarios, demonstrating its ability to accurately detect attacks and achieve competitive performance compared to conventional systems, highlighting its potential applicability in organizations and data centers.
