According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the veteran defensive tackle is calling it a career. The retirement follows a 2025 campaign that he unfortunately missed entirely due to a severe back injury while under contract with Seattle. The Giants originally drafted Ohio State's Johnathan Hankins 49th overall in 2013, fresh off his All-American season with the Buckeyes. Hankins leaving was really the moment the Giants had to pivot.
