Former New York Giants defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins is officially hanging up his cleats after 12 seasons in the NFL.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the veteran defensive tackle is calling it a career.
The retirement follows a 2025 campaign that he unfortunately missed entirely due to a severe back injury while under contract with Seattle.
The Giants originally drafted Ohio State's Johnathan Hankins 49th overall in 2013, fresh off his All-American season with the Buckeyes.
Hankins leaving was really the moment the Giants had to pivot.
