Efforts to redevelop Belfast’s redundant office space into new residential projects is picking up pace with plans lodged for a hotel and 358 apartments in recent days. The former headquarters of the Insolvency Service, an office building next to the Waterfront Hall and a business park close to Grand Central Station are the latest sites proposed for transformation by local investors. The most significant new proposal involves two apartment buildings at the City Link Business Park, next to Grosvenor Road Police Station. First announced in June 2025, the owners of the large residential development have now progressed to a full planning application. City Link Business Park Limited is owned by asset manager Stuart Draffin and Banbridge-based businessman Melvyn Adair.
