Mullin had been granted permission to train with Mayo for five weeks last winter, and joined Moran’s men on their warm weather training camp in Portugal. Speaking to an Australian TV network, Mullin said:“I did have a chat with the coach back home and obviously Chris (Scott, Geelong manager) here,” Mullin said. Mayo's Darragh Beirne and Jack Coyne celebrate after winning the All-Ireland Senior Football final against Kerry at Croke Park. The Kilmaine man scored a point in the All-Ireland final aged just 20, as Dublin overpowered Mayo to claim six-in-a-row back in 2020, while he started at centre-back in defeat to Tyrone in another decider a year later.
