A blaze that ripped through a yard in Co Down may have damaged valuable classic cars parked on the site, according to a representative of the company that owns the facility. The cars were parked in the yard and were “works in progress”, said the representative of McComb’s 4x4, a local Jeep dealer. Four appliances and a water tanker were deployed to the scene of the fire, a yard on the Dundrum Road owned by McComb’s 4x4. The representative, speaking from the Jeep dealership on the nearby Ballyloughlin Road, said the yard housed classic cars that were “works of progress”. In a follow up statement, the NIFRS said firefighters were called to reports of a well-developed waste fire on Dundrum Road.
