The two men, aged 43, and 42, were arrested in connection with a number of offences linked to the three attacks on homes and vehicles in Newtownards. The first of the three attacks, which police believe were linked, happened before 11pm. Several masked men smashed the window of a home in Bristol Park and attempted to set fire to a vehicle, but it failed to ignite. Later, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called to Victoria Avenue area where a bus and a car were burnt out. In the third linked incident, masked men smashed a living room window in the Weavers Grange area and threw a petrol bomb inside, lighting a sofa on fire.
