The SCM program, previously the Sustainable Building Technology Program, is at risk of being closed down due to program redundancy.
Dykstra said it would be a "profound disservice to students and a poor reflection on Okanagan College" to cut this program.
The Okanagan College Faculty Association is trying to fight the decision.
"Sustainable building technologists are people who help the construction industry move towards a more sustainable path.
