It is expected that the bill will establish certain tough measures and reforms aimed at curbing malpractices / unfair means affecting the public examinations. In other words, the overall purpose of the bill is to create the values of honesty, integrity, and fairness in the public examination system. Tabling the bill for reforms is appreciable; once it passes, ensuring the implementation of the reforms in letter and spirit will be the key, though. A strict regulation, the PEAB, will expectedly dissuade wrongdoers from defiling the sanctity of public examinations. Above all, the national government again looks clear and concerned to strictly execute the provisions once the bill is passed.
