Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is resting against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday due to left knee soreness, per manager Dave Roberts to reporters.
However, Roberts revealed on Tuesday that Ohtani has also dealt with a right biceps issue, per Courtney Hollmon of MLB.com.
"Roberts disclosed that Ohtani's mound progression was paused not just due to left knee inflammation, but also a right biceps issue.
For the season, the four-time league MVP has hit .289 (.931 OPS) with 23 home runs and 65 RBI.
He has dominated on the mound, going 8-2 with a 1.79 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 85.2 innings.
