Deebo Samuel is heading back to the San Francisco 49ers. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the wide receiver agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $7 million with San Francisco after spending the 2025 season with the Washington Commanders. Before the Samuel signing, the 49ers had $71.2 million in cap space for the 2026 season, per Over the Cap. It's unclear what Samuel's cap number will be, but the 49ers have more than enough room to handle this deal. In 16 games with the Commanders, Samuel recorded 72 receptions for 727 yards and five touchdowns, all of which led the team.
