I witnessed a mass of illegal immigrants embark for the UK – to a life of ease funded by the UK taxpayer. On Wednesday – the day I was on the beaches – a year-high 752 illegal immigrants crossed in under 24 hours. The people smuggler even had a cosy chat with the open borders charity workers who had been brazenly assisting the illegal immigrants. We should leave the European Convention on Human Rights, ban asylum claims from illegal entrants, end immigration legal aid for illegal immigrants and deport illegal immigrants rapidly on arrival. If illegal immigrants know they will be deported quickly, they will not bother to make the crossing in the first place.
