Malta’s tourism sector continued its strong momentum in June, with more than 458,000 inbound tourists visiting the islands during the month. According to the latest figures, an estimated 458,223 tourists travelled to Malta in June 2026, marking an 18.5% increase compared to the same month last year. Visitors spent a total of 2.58 million nights across the islands, with almost nine out of every 10 nights (89.2%) spent in rented accommodation establishments. Tourists also injected an estimated €456 million into the Maltese economy during the month through accommodation, dining, transport, shopping and other expenses.
