Some of Malta’s biggest stories are already absurd. Lovin Malta’s newest series, Miss Understanding Malta, simply takes that absurdity a little further. The satirical video series explores the country’s biggest talking points through dry humour, deadpan reporting and a deliberately unconventional approach to investigating the issues shaping everyday life on the island. Clara previously turned her attention to Comino, exploring the island’s overcrowding problem, its battle between tourism and conservation, and one particularly unexplained pineapple. The same approach now continues with Miss Understanding Malta, where real issues are investigated with a straight face and just enough confusion to uncover the contradictions behind them.
