According to ComEd, crews have been working around the clock to remove downed trees and vegetation, replace thousands of poles, and repair damaged equipment. Most customers who remain without power are expected to be restored by the end of day Thursday. We now expect the majority of remaining customers to have power restored by the end of day Thursday. The recent storm marks the sixteenth major weather event affecting ComEd customers in 2026—the highest number seen in two decades—with five months left in the year.
