Following a Supreme Court order, the administration has ordered the release of those detained and the closure of 13 registered cases.
New Delhi: The Government of NCT of Delhi has officially directed the Delhi Police to refrain from taking any adverse legal action against individuals involved in the demonstrations concerning alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) examination.
Furthermore, the government has ordered that any arrests or detentions already made in these cases be reviewed expeditiously, with steps taken to release the detained individuals.
However, the official order explicitly clarifies that this protection and relief "shall not extend to persons having criminal antecedents, as mandated in the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court mentioned above."
The decision has been issued with the approval of the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of NCT of Delhi.
