Most of the region today is under a Marginal Risk (1/5), where isolated severe storms are possible. Closer to central and eastern SD, there’s a Slight Risk (2/5), where scattered severe storms will be likely by this afternoon to evening. Today is expected to be the “coolest” of the week, so a mixture of mid-to-upper 80s and low 90s. Drier conditions, hot temperatures, and some breeze can lead to elevated or critical fire conditions, despite the rain.
