On the third floor in room C2 was the Pennington County Drug Court Graduation, a ceremony to those who successfully completed the Drug Court program. ADVERTISEMENTOftentimes, Drug Court can serve as a better alternative to incarceration, getting to the root cause of why their charge happened in the first place. "[We try to teach people,] 'How can I get through the trauma that I'm still holding in my heart and not use to numb the pain,'" said Drug Court Judge, Sarah Morrison. Leo Herman, one of the graduates, was a drug addict for 17 years and couldn't figure out how to get sober until getting to drug court. The next drug court will be on September 30th at 3 p.m.
