Unions are threatening to stop work at BHP's Pilbara operations in a pay dispute. Unions have lodged a notice with the Fair Work Commission for the daylong action threatening to stop work in the Western Australian Pilbara on August 8-9. Workers are set to walk away from BHP Pilbara operations. Combined Port Unions, which includes the Electrical Trade Union (ETU), the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU), says the latest union movement follows "glacial" speed of negotiations with management. A BHP spokesperson told NewsWire the unions should focus on Tuesday's meeting over further industrial action.
