The sister of a man who was found dead inside a Hollywood apartment along with two other men received a text message from an unknown number about her brother's death, NBC4 Investigates exclusively learned Thursday. WATCH HERE WATCH HEREAfter receiving the text message from the unknown number, the victim's sister called the Los Angeles Police Department and asked for a welfare check because she lives in Las Vegas, NBC4 Investigates learned from LAPD sources. The three men were not the tenants of the apartment unit, the sources said. Investigators also do not believe the deadly shooting is gang-related as they continue to look for motive and examine surveillance video footage from the area. A neighbor told NBCLA Thursday that he had heard multiple gunshots Saturday night, followed by someone's scream.
