York Maze will host the edible spectacle on Saturday, August 1, as part of its annual Yorkshire Day celebrations. The event will feature the county's hero YorkshireMan, who will walk a narrow beam above what’s billed as the world’s biggest Lancashire hotpot before diving into a giant, gravy-filled Yorkshire pudding. "As everyone knows, Lancashire hotpot is poisonous to Yorkshireman, so I have a giant Yorkshire pudding filled with gravy to dive into as the antidote in case I do come into contact with the Lancashire hotpot." The fun begins at 1pm with a Yorkshire pudding tossing competition.
