Bobby Hill says he will “take a break from football” as Collingwood confirmed the club and Norm Smith medallist have mutually agreed to part ways. “I’m going to take a break from football to keep working on myself and regain my passion for the game.” Hill played 61 games across almost four seasons at Collingwood, including the 2023 premiership, but did not feature in a single game this year. Collingwood said the 26-year-old had not met his commitments to the club, leading to his exit. “Bobby will always be recognised as a premiership player and a Norm Smith Medallist at Collingwood and we wish him all the very best.”
