Artisan Brewing has delivered the cherry on top with the release of its latest Belgian golden ale. The Denmark-based brewery has achieved no small feat with its Cherry Gnome, part of a rotating Gnome line-up that experiments with Belgian golden ale using adjuncts like citrus hops, honey, and seasonal fruits. That first sip has a pop of sour cherry sweetness up-front, followed almost immediately by those spice flavours, particularly cloves, banana, and subtle stone fruits. It has a sweet tang, successfully combining the best elements of the Belgian golden ale with cherry goodness, before coming to an exceptionally dry finish.
