Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased a short time later, the Cleveland Police Department says. They say through the course of the investigation, detectives identified two individuals who were present with Darity at the time of the shooting. Investigative interviews revealed that the firearm used in the shooting had been thrown from a moving vehicle along 25th Street following the incident.
