Catoosa County school board sues county commission over bond requestRINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF)- The Catoosa County school district has sued the county’s board of commissioners. In a statement, Catoosa County Public School said:“In compliance with the voters approving the issuance of bonds, the Catoosa County Board of Education obtained bids, and a low bid of 2.889% was made for the bonds. This would not be in compliance with the Constitution or with the voters of Catoosa County. The School Board’s bond closing deadline is not until August 10 or August 11 so any allegation that the Board of Commissioners is causing a delay or jeopardizing School Board actions is inaccurate. The school board is asking a Catoosa County Superior Court judge to rule that the commissioners have to approve this request.
