Iran Allows Pakistan Safe Passage for LNG Cargo from Qatar
['Business Desk']

Pakistan has secured safe passage for at least one Qatari LNG shipment through the Strait of Hormuz after negotiations with Iran, with the cargo now heading toward Karachi, Bloomberg reported.
The LNG vessel crossed the strategic waterway on Thursday and is expected to support Pakistan’s gas supply needs.
The arrangement could also cover additional Qatari LNG cargoes in the future, according to the report.
Pakistan relies heavily on imported LNG from Qatar to meet power generation, industrial, and domestic gas requirements.
Any disruption in Hormuz could have affected energy supplies and increased pressure on the country’s fuel import bill.
