Labor politician Luke Gosling has promised to contest charges alleging he assaulted the Northern Territory's top official. Speaking outside court, Gosling confirmed he had spoken with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Angus Taylor called on the prime minister to step up and strip Luke Gosling of his role. Mr Albanese is on leave, with deputy prime minister Richard Marles acting in his place.
