['Paul Wagner']
News – NBC4 Washington
A man shot by a Fairfax County police officer after allegedly jumping out of a bush and grabbing the officer's gun is out of the hospital and in jail, police say.
The officer then fired the gun three times, Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said.
In addition to being shot, Davis said another officer used a stun gun on the suspect.
Fairfax County police said in an update Thursday that Banegas is being held in jail without bond after being medically cleared.
A still image police released from the body camera video appears to show a man reaching up from the bushes and grabbing an officer's gun.
