Six Flags Great Adventure has unveiled Bakunawa, the world's tallest and fastest spinning launch coaster. Bakunawa will set six world records, including becoming the world's tallest and fastest spinning coaster at 382 feet and 100 mph respectively. It also boasts the world's fastest inversion at 80 mph, the world's longest stall inversion, and the world's first upside-down launch. Additionally, Bakunawa is the world's first floorless spinning coaster. The new roller coaster is replacing the park's legendary Kingda Ka, which was the world's tallest coaster before it closed in 2024.
