The effort to stabilize a condemned Glen Burnie office tower is taking longer than expected. Building management is informing tenants that the Empire Towers will likely stay closed for at least three months. Phase one of the work to stabilize the condemned 10-story building was expected to take 10-to-14 days and be done by now. David Fischer, who works in the building, told WBAL-TV 11’s Kate Amara that they originally believed they would be able to get back into the building within a couple of weeks. “Now it looks like we may never get back into the building,” Fischer said.
